I haven’t posted anything in a very long time but that is all about to change.  I just signed up for a triathlon and I want to document my journey.
This is my first triathlon ever and its a baby one compared to the ironman but it is still something I am nervous and excited about and definitely need to work hard at. 

100 meter swim
10 mile bike ride
& 2 mile run
is what I have to train for.


It’s hard to believe its already been two weeks since I came back from my spring break in beautiful San Diego! 

My boyfriend and I were able to spend a lot of time with my aunt and cousins that live nearby.   They were so amazing to us taking us around town showing us their favorite places to visit and introduced us to some amazing restaurants.  


I was able to keep up with my healthy eating and active lifestyle without too much trouble since there are so many healthy choices in San Diego.  In Starbucks for example, I would get my regular grande black coffee and fruit! As insignificant as that may sound, in my home town, Starbucks does not sell fruit!! 

Everyday we walked miles and miles but I would try to sneak in other workouts like bike riding on the board walk before watching the beautiful sunset on Pacific Beach.

Overall, this trip was amazing! I came back to Texas but left my heart in San Diego <3

Deciding to go grainfree has been the best decision in my life!  All superficial reasons aside, changing my eating habits has helped clear my mind.  I feel like I am able to concentrate more and for longer periods of time.
My monthly cycle is now regular and my once brutal cramps that would have me calling in sick to work are now almost non existent!

Yes, I did jump on the band wagon when I saw all these people lose weight because of some “paleo” diet but now I am healthier and happier than I have ever been! 

I hope you all can at least give it a try and see for yourself how amazing you will look and feel!

Dessert after dinner.

For dinner I had 2 hamburger patties and a spinach salad with bell peppers, celery, and carrots.  After 30 minutes and a large glass of water I still felt hungry so I had an apple with almond butter and a little sprinkle of cinnamon and warm cup of green tea. This definitely hit the spot!
